Board of Trustees

Ray E. Gentry, Esq., Chairperson

Ray Gentry is an attorney who has been a United Cerebral Palsy volunteer for the past 25 years, serving in various leadership roles with the organization. He was instrumental in implementing the establishment of United Cerebral Palsy in South Carolina.

Ouida Spencer, Vice Chairperson

Ouida Spencer has been a UCP volunteer for over 25 years, and is an expert in dealing with housing issues related to people with developmental disabilities.  She also serves on the Board of Directors for United Cerebral Palsy of Georgia.

Anthony P. Giunta, Ph.D.

Dr. Giunta has over 30 years experience as a science educator and physical scientist, with expertise in the design and construction of electronic devices for individuals with cerebral palsy, autism, and ADHD.  He is retired from his position as Associate Dean with ITT Technical Institute, and concentrates much of his time on religious mission work and his professional counseling practice. 

Robert F. Powell

Robert "Skeeter" Powell is a retired businessman and community activist who works with and advocates on behalf of adolescents and young adults with disabilities.  He has also served on the United Cerebral Palsy of Georgia Board of Directors for several years.  

Steven Jackson

Steve Jackson is an engineer and contractor.  He is the founder and president of Jacon Group, Inc., a design, building, and contracting company in  West Columbia.

Bryan Jones

Bryan Jones is a sales executive and has been a United Cerebral Palsy of Georgia volunteer for the past four years.  He founded United Cerebral Palsy of Georgia's Annual Culbreth Cup Charity Golf Tournament in honor of his late grandparents, Floy and Roy Culbreth, who helped lead UCP of Georgia in the 1960s.  He has served on the UCP of Georgia Board of Directors for several years and became a member of the United Cerebral Palsy of South Carolina Board of Trustees in November 2014.

Robert Gemmill, III

Robert Gemmill, III is a Federal Aviation Administration licensed Airline Transport Pilot and Certified Flight Instructor currently flying for a major U.S. airline operating Airbus traffic domestically and internationally.  Robert's sister lives in one of United Cerebral Palsy of South Carolina's community homes and along with his wife, he began an outreach ministry at his church to to build long-term relationships and foster community inclusion between his fellow church members and the individuals served through UCP of South Carolina.  Robert became a member of the Board of Trustees in November 2014.
